A Common Misconception

May was a very busy month if not the busiest month for many. There were end of school recitals, awards, and graduations that anyone with children or grandchildren can attest too, and it seemed almost non-stop.
With all the running around from place to place thinking that I've got too much going on, God reminded me of a common misconception that many have about trials. I've heard it said, and I know you have as well, that "God won't give you more than you can bear". Well...that's wrong, and not Biblical.
Tell that to the child who loses a parent unexpectedly, or a parent who watches a child struggle for life with cancer. Tell that to a family who loses their home and all their possessions to a fire. Tell that to a city or town that is torn apart by a natural disaster.
The truth is, God will often give you more than you can bear, but the real fact is, He will always be there with you!
Think about it...if we never have a challenge in life to endure, then how will we learn to depend on God for strength. We must go through trials and tribulations or there is no need for faith.
Deuteronomy 31:6 says, "Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the LORD your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you."
He was in the fire with the 3 Hebrew boys, and He will walk through the fire with you. Remember that nothing catches God off guard. He is fully aware of anything and everything that takes place, and its by this assurance of His presence to always be with us, that we can face life "head-on", knowing He's got our back!

Be Real,
